Abe’s D1 Track and Field History
Middle School
Abe Myers holds the Big Walnut Middle School records for both 7th and 8th grade in discus.
He won 1st place at the Ohio State Middle School Track Meet in discus.
He also holds various BWMS relay records in shot and discus together with Colton Hogg and Brandon Mosher.
Abe also beat 4×100 relay record together with David Hunt, Colin White, and Devin Bingman.
High School
Abraham was the first Big Walnut and we believe the first Delaware County athlete to compete at the state level as a freshman. He made it to the podium at 8th place.
As a result, Abe was an early inductee into the Big Walnut Athletic Hall of Fame. Further, he beat multiple discus relay records together with Adrian Thomas and Cole Amato.
In 2016, Abe beat multiple discus relay records together with Cole Amato and Brandon Mosher.
His farthest meet throw in 2016 was 165′.
He placed 8th in the State of Ohio again in his sophomore year (2016).
In 2017, Abe Myers set new individual discus records at:

- The Delaware Elite Eight Meet
- The Ohio Capital Conference (OCC)
He also beat several relay records in discus together with Luke Apple and Brandon Mosher.
In addition to discus, Abe competed successfully each year in high jump, the 4×100, 4×200, 4×400, triple jump, and long jump. Abe made it to the OCC meet in long jump.
To finish 2017, Abe won district and regional meets in discus, setting his new meet PR of 178’7″.
Abe’s longest recorded throw at a meet is 178’7” from 2017.
Abe finished 2017 by placing 5th at the Ohio State D1 Track Meet with a throw of 168”8″.
In 2018, Abe decided not to compete in track and field in order to focus on his training program for OSU football. He then transferred from OSU to ASU in August of 2018 and continues to train daily.
